About The Danvers Hometown Salute Initiative:
The Danvers Hometown Salute Initiative is a heartfelt project led by Danvers High School students Chase Richmond, Haley Liporto, and Ari Fajardo with the mission of honoring local veterans in meaningful and creative ways. Through community events, personalized recognition, and unique acts of appreciation, this initiative celebrates the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have proudly represented Danvers in the armed forces. By blending tradition with innovation, the students aim to strengthen the bond between generations, inspire gratitude, and ensure that the legacy of our hometown heroes is recognized for years to come.

Meet the team:
The Danvers Hometown Salute Initiative is led by three dedicated Danvers High School students: Chase Richmond, Haley Liporto, and Ari Fajardo. Each of these students is deeply committed to their academics, consistently striving for excellence in the classroom while also taking on leadership roles in a variety of extracurricular activities, from athletics to student organizations. Beyond their academic and school involvement, each member of the team has a personal connection to the veteran community—whether through family members who have served or close ties with those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country. Their shared respect and gratitude for local veterans fuel their passion to create a project that not only honors service, but also brings the community together in meaningful ways.
